Who Are The Knights?

From the moment of our founding in 1882, the Knights of Columbus has been devoted to the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. But the first of these is Charity. We are Catholic men serving God, Church, and Community.

When a man joins the Knights of Columbus, he has the opportunity to grow in his faith through its many programs and resources and through charitable service to his neighbor. In addition, a new Knight becomes part of a Band of Brothers that provides fraternal support and encouragement for one another and their families.

Through the Fourth Degree, a Knight acknowledges his debt to the freedoms bestowed by an enlightened and compassionate Nation Under God and pledges his commitment to the nation which makes those freedoms part of his life.

In a more practical vein, the Knights Insurance Program gives members the chance to protect their loved ones through the most efficient and ethical company in the industry. If a man is interested in helping those in need, serving his parish, growing in his faith or having access to top-rated insurance protection for his family, then the Knight of Columbus is the organization for him.
